Just as Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Ramadan were observed differently due to COVID-19 pandemic, adjustments too have been made to this year’s Aidiladha celebration. Kemmas wishes all our Muslims friends and family Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha. As the top ship chandler and offshore provision supplier in Malaysia, we hope that everyone could celebrate Aidiladha and, enjoy time with friends and families in peace and harmony. This year could be a tough year, however, we hope that we could fight this over as a nation.

In a few days’ time, our Muslim friends and families will gather for Aidilfitri to celebrate the success in observing the fast throughout the month of Ramadan. Sadly, this year has been peppered with pandemic COVID-19 and Conditional Movement Control Order (CMOCO).
However, with everyone’s and our front liners’ efforts, Malaysia Covid-19 cases have been controlled and reduced gradually. Hopefully, very soon, our lives will be able to go back to what they used to be.
In Kemmas, generosity is a culture that is deeply embedded, and one that Kemmas was founded upon. In giving back to communities, it is our calling in creating avenues to continuously improve the quality of life around us. Let us embrace the spirit of our Culture Beliefs to ensure that we collectively stay true and steadfast towards the cause of Kemmas.

Although, this year we mark a different “May Day”, At Kemmas, we would like to thank and honour those who made scarifies and efforts to exceed responsibilities. You all have contributed many in keeping supplies and provisions delivered to offshore.
During this difficult time, thank you for following our procedures in making sure the risk of exposure and spread of Covid-19 is minimised, thank you for making sure our community is safe and resources across the value chain to offshore is sufficient.

A Different Kind of Ramadan
As Muslims begin observing the holy month of Ramadan, traditionally it is a time of dawn-to-dusk fasting, festivities and communal prayer. At sunsets, streets used to be massively crowded with food fiestas (Ramadan Bazaar) and many were socialising with loved ones. However, an unprecedented global pandemic is changing the ways we celebrate this year.
It is sad that religious nightly tarawih prayer congregation and the Ramadan bazaar are both forbidden in public under Movement Control Order (MCO) in order to minimize exposures. Yet, Kemmas hope all our Muslims friends and families remain happy and embrace positively gratitude to stay spirited because there is someone, at somewhere, fighting for his, her or someone else’s life. We hope our community to be optimistic and thankful even though it is unusual and tough. At Kemmas, we will try our best to ensure the availabilities and sufficiencies of food needed to break the fast for across the value chain.
Let’s celebrate as the month of Ramadan begins. Kemmas wishes all Muslims a blessed Ramadan with courage and strength that will help you to win every incoming challenges in life. We wish you well and stay healthy.

As we navigate through COVID-19 pandemic, Kemmas stands firm in upholding its management, first and foremost, to ensure the well being of our people. Followed by the safe and optimal operation of our businesses across the value chain.
OUR PEOPLE
Since the COVID-19 outbreak, Kemmas has taken immediate controls to ensure the safety of our employees through the implementation of several proactive steps to manage the risk of exposure and reduce the risk of transmission.
At Kemmas, we have placed all necessary safety measures and protocols to ensure the safety of our people as they continue to perform their essential duties. These measures include body temperature checked at entrance, hand wash stations and hand sanitizers at their convenience, performs social distancing, educating the importance of maximum hygiene and quarantine protocols for those who travel etc.
In addition, we monitor and update daily the situations in Malaysia and overseas to our people, at the same time, continue to adhere to the guidelines by local authorities, prioritizing the safety of our staff, their families as well as the wider network of our partners and customers.
OUR BUSINESS
Our commitments to ensure a continuous supply of provisions to offshore, Kemmas’ priority is to ensure our operations continue to run safely and efficiently across the value chain. We are working closely with relevant authorities, during Movement Control Order (MCO), and will continue to exercise strictly to the compliance of our Quality, Environment, Safety and Health, Safety (QESH) practices.
Kemmas will continue to drive operational efficiencies while maintaining maximum hygiene discipline and anticipate headwinds of the COVID-19 pandemic.
